A Creators Guide to the Latest Ai Tools in Adobe and Beyond

AI Tools Technology

Quick intro, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve moved to New York City since a lot of my previous posts. One thing on my mind the last 6 months is the AI enhancements for creators across many different platforms.

AI specifically for creators has affected image generation and video generation, but what many have yet to discover is audio generation as well.

My own involvement in different online communities has allowed me to see dozens of people worried about AI taking jobs, from photo editor roles to wedding photographers. View the discussion on Reddit.

This article will go over specifically new tools in Adobe that can be used to help enhance your work using artificial intelligence. With the latest hit to the Wall Street Journal laying off its journalists and photographers, the landscape is shifting rapidly. Read about the recent industry layoffs.

I created an article back in 2023 about the difference between Luminar AI and Lightroom/Photoshop. The features added into the Adobe suite have since surpassed this initial reaction, alongside developments from other players like OpenAI's Sora.

Adobe’s full list of features is available here, but these are my own most-used tools.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence is a large language model that uses training data and provides an output for the user.

AI in the Adobe Creative Cloud

As a creative, you may have come across Adobe's creative services including Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere Pro. So in 2026, what Artificial features are included?

Adobe Photoshop

Currently the most known feature is Generative Fill. This tool can be found on the selection tool and you can put text to create your designs. It allows you to choose from three different selections or extend the variation.

Ps-Generative Fill is great for tasks that would traditionally take much longer, and Neural Filters provide some useful enhancements as well.

Adobe Illustrator

Focuses on AI-driven text effects and pattern generations.

Adobe Premiere Pro

  • AI Auto Framing & Generative Fill: Helps with reformatting video for different aspect ratios.
  • Speech to Text: One of my favorite tools; it allows for easy translations and captions.

Adobe Lightroom

The list of features here is longer because I am very familiar with Lightroom and use it almost daily. Recent additions include:

  • Photo Culling
  • Sky Replacement
  • Blur Effect
  • AI Masking
  • Generative Removal
  • Denoise

AI Masking

The days of brushing a sky or using a gradient to bring the exposure down manually are over. Lightroom now allows you to select parts of the image—foreground, background, subject, or sky—instantly.

Blur Effect

Similar to Photoshop's selection menu, this uses AI to change the focal range and aperture blades, affecting the artificial bokeh roundness.

AI Denoise

Adobe Firefly & Generative Audio

With the new subscription model, Premiere Pro now allows you to generate sound from text. For example, typing "city streets" will provide you with a background city soundscape.

Luminar Neo 2025-2026

Luminar remains a strong competitor with its unique toolset. You can read a full review of the Luminar Neo Fall Update.

  • Light Depth Change: Uses 3D depth mapping to control light locally rather than globally.
  • Restoration Effect: A one-click solution to remove scratches and restore faded colors in old photos.
